Tasty Turkey Trivia

When your guests are stuffed and there’s a lull in conversation around your Thanksgiving table, break the silence with these fun facts.

  2. If Ben Franklin had his way, the turkey would be our national bird. He apparently told his daughter in a letter that eagles had bad moral character, while a turkey was more respectable.
  3. While domestic turkeys can't fly, some have been to outer space. NASA has stated that turkey was the first meal enjoyed by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on Apollo 8.
